About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Engineering & Delivery to lead and manage multiple engineering teams across disciplines including .NET development, Data Engineering, WordPress Development, and UI/UX Design.
The VP of Engineering & Delivery will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality technical solutions, maintaining strong engineering standards, and ensuring projects are completed within established timelines. This leadership role requires strong technical understanding, operational discipline, and the ability to guide engineering managers and teams toward consistent performance and delivery excellence.
This role will work closely with executive leadership to align engineering execution with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement across development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple engineering teams across disciplines including .NET, Data Engineering, WordPress, and UI/UX.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software solutions and technical products.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage delivery timelines, priorities, and team accountability to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Coach and mentor engineering managers and team leads to strengthen leadership and team performance.
- Monitor engineering productivity, development velocity, and team effectiveness.
- Identify potential project risks early and implement solutions to keep development on track.
- Provide regular progress updates to executive leadership on engineering performance, timelines, and blockers.
- Improve development processes, workflows, and team coordination to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Align engineering execution with overall business goals and strategic priorities.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and remove operational bottlenecks impacting delivery.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering leadership and key technical talent.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years’ experience leading multiple engineering teams or departments.
- Strong background in modern software development environments and engineering practices.
- Proven ability to manage complex delivery timelines while maintaining engineering quality.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering managers and technical leaders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to report clearly to executive leadership.
