𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and production documentation for wood and upholstered furniture.
- Create and maintain accurate 2D and 3D CAD models.
- Produce complete bills of materials (BOMs), cut lists, and hardware schedules.
- Design furniture components and assemblies for efficient manufacturing and assembly.
- Specify materials, hardware, fasteners, upholstery components, and construction methods.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and fit between all components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in furniture design or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency with Strong understanding of furniture construction methods and manufacturing processes.
- Experience creating production drawings and engineering documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with upholstered and wood furniture manufacturing.
- Understanding of wood movement, material properties, and finish systems.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Furniture engineering principles and best practices
- Worked with Materials and hardware selection
- Experience with Design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Should know Tolerance analysis and component fit
- Strong ability to read and write Technical documentation.
