About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Takeoff Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in project estimation and planning by analyzing construction plans and ensuring precise material and labor calculations. This position is integral to ensuring the success of our construction projects and optimizing planning efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Determine accurate quantities of materials required for construction projects.
- Utilize advanced takeoff software, such as PlanSwift/Procore, to calculate material and labor needs.
- Interpret complex construction documents and engineering drawings.
- Prepare and submit accurate project estimates and bids.
- Collaborate with project teams to review takeoff data for accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- 𝟮+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰 in construction, estimating, or project management.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Knowledge of 3D rendering and construction modeling.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with and proficiency in 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲.
- Worked with clients in the United States and are 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗦 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀.
- 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 (PlanSwift experience is a plus).
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials and processes.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in or other metal framing shop drawing and detailing software.
